Davis is raping me up the butt
I kind of died a little inside when my counselor told me that I'm doing ABOVE average in science majors (I have a friggin' 3.20 GPA...and that's ABOVE average). She said that the average GPA for a science major at Davis is a 2.75.
2.75!?!?! WTF!?
I honestly feel really shitty to have a 3.20. This is the lowest GPA I've ever gotten in my life. I guess I never realized how rape the "21-series" of calculus is here at this school. I've heard horror stories and I thought to myself, "Pfft...I can handle it." OMFG. YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I WANT TO STOP TAKING MATH. DAVIS HAS MADE ME HATE CALCULUS. The other calculus series here in Davis you can crunch numbers like in high school, which I was good at. The series I'm taking now seems to go off on random tangents like "Explain how you would use the Second Fundamental Theorem of Calculus to explain why the derivative of the integral of the earth's atmosphere is such and such. Good! Now solve the integral with an unknown height H! Good luck! I know that most of the class will get this problem wrong! Tee hee~!"
This is just the beginning! I'm excited to take Biology next quarter, but I'm worried about how the professor will be...Here's a sample question she had on a final:
What is the answer to this question?
A. D
B. this is the right answer, but it's not
C. Multiply answers A and D
D. All of the above except for one
E. the answer is really F, but F is not a choice here
SOMEBODY SAVE ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
